It was a clear and starry February night in Kyiv, the biggest city in Ukraine. People were finishing their Sunday dinners and catching up on their weekly shopping in the Besarabsky marketplace. You could hear children laughing, housewives chatting and men arguing across the market. It was a great weekend and people were strolling back home to recharge before a fresh week. 

Suddenly, there were some thunderous sounds! 

People could hear the rumblings in the distance; they looked up into the night sky and saw a group of black flying objects hovering over them. Soon they realized they were enemy planes as they started dropping bombs all over the city. B-oooooo-m!! 

People started running, trying to find a shelter. It felt like there were a million earthquakes around them. There were tragic scenes everywhere – broken roofs, cracked walls and injured people on the roads. There was a little boy, who looked like he was six years old, on the street alone. He was separated from his family in the chaos and was crying out loud. 

The little boy was scared and started running. As he ran, he saw a glowing light in the sky. At first, he thought it was another bomb, but it wasn’t. It was a superhero like in his comic books. The boy asked “I am Timothy. Who are you? Can you help me find my parents?” 

The superhero took off her mask and introduced herself as Zoey. Her eyes shone like diamonds and dripped with kindness. She wore a bright red colored suit, and her shoes were blue with rose patterns. Just as Zoey was about to speak again, a bomb was falling right in between Zoey and Timothy. 

Zoey inadvertently made a magnetic forcefield around the two of them. When the bomb touched the forcefield it bounced right off and destroyed the plane. Timothy was astonished. He asked Zoey if she could make a huge magnetic field around Kyiv to protect the city and its people. Zoey agreed that Timothy had a great idea. She quickly made a huge forcefield around Kyiv. When the bombs started dropping, they hit the magnetic field and bounced off. They flew and destroyed the planes that were in the sky, like boomerangs! 

The pilots were scared so see the bombs hitting the planes and quickly turned around to fly back to their bases. The war was over and everyone in Kyiv was overjoyed. They shouted ‘Hooray’, threw their hats in the air and hugged each other. As people were cheering and celebrating, Timothy saw his parents. He ran to them and was very happy to see them. There were tears of joy all around. 

Timothy introduced his parents to Zoey. He explained how Zoey had stopped the war and saved their lives. Timothy’s parents were very grateful for Zoey’s act. Zoey said that she just wanted peace around the world and people to be safe and happy. As the happy family of Timothy hugged each other Zoey disappeared as suddenly as she had appeared.
